Golden Meridian is a large contemporary abstract painting inspired by layered landscapes, shifting light and the quiet power of natural structures.
While creating this piece, I worked intuitively with flowing horizontal movements and expressive vertical gestures, allowing the paint to drip, merge and form textured layers across the canvas. The composition developed gradually through multiple applications of acrylic paint, revealing depth and subtle transitions between color and texture.
The palette is built around refined shades of blue grey, charcoal and soft ivory, enriched with luminous accents of metallic gold acrylic. These golden elements capture and reflect light, bringing warmth and energy to the cooler tones while creating a sophisticated visual contrast.
Using palette knife techniques together with expressive brushwork, I built areas of textured paint that interact with smoother passages. Some parts of the painting reveal thick layered surfaces, while others remain airy and atmospheric, giving the composition a sense of openness and movement.
From afar, Golden Meridian presents a strong contemporary presence. Up close, the viewer discovers intricate textures, layered paint drips and subtle tonal shifts that reveal the physical process of painting.
With its elegant palette and expansive format, this artwork works beautifully in modern interiors, contemporary living spaces and minimalist architectural environments, where a large painting becomes the visual center of the room. Each artwork is hand-signed and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
