Traces of a Distant Shore is an original contemporary abstract painting by Tatiana Malinovscaia, created in 2026. Measuring 80 × 100 cm, this textured beige and blue abstract painting combines architectural geometry with the atmospheric beauty of water, light, and reflection.

I created this artwork inspired by the mysterious boundary between land and water, where distant shorelines seem to disappear into their reflections. I wanted to capture a moment of stillness filled with subtle movement and depth.

A sophisticated palette of warm beige, ivory, sand, taupe, and earthy brown contrasts with cool slate blue, smoky grey, charcoal, and deep black. The strong horizontal division and central vertical form suggest reflected architecture or a distant landscape, leaving room for personal interpretation.

Using palette knives and brushes, I developed the surface through layering, scraping, dragging, and expressive gestures, creating rich textures and delicate transitions between light and shadow.

For me, this painting is about the beauty of spaces between reality and imagination. Its combination of geometric abstraction, textured contemporary art, and atmospheric landscape creates a distinctive statement piece for modern, minimalist, and neutral interiors.

One-of-a-kind original acrylic painting on canvas, 2026. Size: 80 × 100 cm. Stretched on wooden stretcher bars, ready to hang. Signed on the front. Certificate of Authenticity included.
