This painting was born from a moment of contrast—when dense, cool tones meet a sudden expansion of light.

I began with deep blue and grey layers, building a sense of weight and grounding across the surface. From there, the composition opened into a radiant flow of soft pink, warm beige, and earthy ochre. It felt like light breaking through—spreading, dissolving edges, and transforming everything around it.

I worked intuitively, layering acrylic with both brush and palette knife. Some areas are smooth and quiet, while others hold texture and movement—scraped, built, and reworked. This process creates depth that continues to reveal itself depending on the light and the distance from which you view it.

What draws me to this piece is the feeling of expansion—the way the composition moves outward, creating space rather than enclosing it. It changes the atmosphere of a room, making it feel more open, more alive.

The palette—deep blue, soft grey, blush pink, warm beige, and ochre—brings both calm and energy. It blends naturally into modern interiors while still holding a strong visual presence.

This is a painting designed to become a focal point. Above a sofa, a bed, or in an open living space, it brings light, depth, and a sense of movement that continues to evolve over time.
