While creating this piece, I was inspired by the idea that every space contains both order and spontaneity. Structured forms intersect with gestural marks and textured layers, creating a visual dialogue between precision and intuition. Rather than depicting a specific subject, I wanted to create an atmosphere that invites contemplation and allows the viewer to discover new details over time.
The composition is built through multiple layers of acrylic paint applied with palette knives, brushes, scraping techniques, and expressive mark-making. Rich textures create depth and movement across the surface, while subtle tonal transitions reveal themselves under changing light conditions throughout the day.
A sophisticated palette of ivory white, soft gray, charcoal black, warm taupe, earthy brown, and ochre creates a timeless contemporary aesthetic. Contrasts between light and dark areas establish visual tension, while neutral tones bring balance and elegance to the composition. The interaction of geometric forms, layered textures, and painterly gestures gives the artwork a strong architectural presence without losing its sense of spontaneity.
