I created this large abstract painting as an exploration of reflection, structure, and quiet movement within open space.

Working with acrylic on canvas, I developed the composition through layered applications using palette knife and expressive brushwork. Soft blue-grey, ivory, beige, white, deep black, and warm earthy brown tones create contrast and depth, while delicate ochre accents introduce warmth and subtle luminosity.

The composition is built around intersecting lines and reflective forms that suggest openness and distance without becoming fully representational. Textured layers, expressive marks, and subtle drips create rhythm and movement across the surface, giving the work a strong architectural presence while preserving softness and atmosphere.

I wanted this painting to feel spacious and immersive — a moment where light and reflection merge into calm visual energy. Depending on the lighting throughout the day, the textured surface reveals changing nuances of silver-blue, warm beige, charcoal, ivory, and earthy undertones.
