I created this painting by building the surface slowly, layer by layer, allowing colours and textures to interact naturally. Soft ivory, warm sand, muted beige and pale grey form a luminous base, while deep blue, teal, charcoal, and earthy brown tones move across the canvas in structured yet fluid passages. Thin linear accents and expressive palette knife textures add rhythm and depth, revealing traces of earlier layers beneath the surface.
My process is intuitive but deliberate. I combine broad brushwork with scraped and layered paint, letting some areas remain translucent while others become dense and tactile. Drips, softened edges, and contrasting matte and semi-gloss finishes give the painting a sense of movement and quiet energy, changing subtly with light throughout the day.
This artwork is designed for contemporary interiors and works beautifully as a statement piece above a sofa, in a living room, office, or refined modern space. “Layered Confluence” invites the viewer to slow down, explore its details, and discover a balance between structure and emotion.
