Luminous Breakpoint
This painting began with a moment of release—a point where light breaks through and expands, transforming the entire surface.
I started from the center, allowing the composition to grow outward. Soft pink tones merge into white and pale grey, creating a luminous, almost weightless space. Deeper black and earthy brown elements emerge in contrast, grounding the composition and giving it strength.
Subtle touches of ochre and gold appear within the layers, catching the light and adding warmth. These accents are not dominant—they reveal themselves slowly, depending on how the light falls across the surface.
I worked intuitively, using both brush and palette knife to build and reshape the painting. Some areas remain soft and diffused, while others carry texture—paint layered, broken, and revealed again. This creates depth that continues to shift throughout the day.
What draws me most to this piece is its sense of expansion. It feels like a turning point—where different energies meet and open into something lighter and more fluid. The darker area holds the composition, while the luminous center creates movement and space.
The palette—soft pink, white, grey, black, earthy brown, ochre, and gold—brings both contrast and harmony. It integrates beautifully into modern interiors while still offering a strong emotional presence.
At 80 × 80 cm, the square format gives the painting a centered, powerful presence. It becomes a focal point without overwhelming the space, adding light, depth, and a refined atmosphere.

This painting continues my exploration of light as a structural element within abstraction. I do not begin with a fixed image. Each layer develops in response to the previous one, allowing the composition to emerge naturally. This process creates a sense of internal movement and makes every piece unique.
The surface invites a slower, more attentive way of looking—where subtle transitions, textures, and details unfold gradually.
