Silver Tidefields is a contemporary abstract painting inspired by coastal landscapes and the quiet rhythm of water meeting land.

While creating this piece, I worked with layered acrylic paint and intuitive palette knife movements, allowing the surface to develop naturally through texture and light. The composition formed gradually, revealing fluid horizontal gestures and subtle tonal transitions that suggest distant shorelines, reflective water and shifting atmospheric light.
The palette combines soft shades of blue grey, misty white, charcoal and deep earthy tones, creating a refined balance between light and depth. These tones interact across the canvas like moving water surfaces and distant landforms, building a landscape that feels both expansive and contemplative.

Textured passages of paint created with palette knife techniques interact with smoother layers applied with a brush. Some areas reveal thick painterly surfaces, while others remain light and open, allowing the painting to breathe and evolve visually.
From afar, Silver Tidefields appears calm and atmospheric. Up close, the viewer discovers layered textures, expressive gestures and delicate paint transitions that reveal the physical process of its creation.
