Tidal Framework is an original large-scale abstract diptych from my Oceanic Geometry series, created in 2026.

The artwork consists of two vertical acrylic paintings, each measuring 140 × 80 cm, designed as a unified composition where architectural structure meets the movement and atmosphere of water.

While creating this diptych, I was inspired by the visual relationship between contemporary coastal architecture and the sea — strong vertical structures rising beside open water, reflections breaking across the surface, and geometric forms gradually softened by movement.

I wanted the two canvases to communicate without becoming mirror images. The left panel develops through luminous ocean blue, powder blue, white and soft grey, contrasted by deep black and warm brown. The second introduces sand beige, cream, blue-grey, charcoal and black, with subtle ochre and bronze-brown accents connecting the two compositions.

I built the surfaces through multiple layers of professional acrylic paint using palette knives, brushes, scraping, glazing and expressive mark-making. Broad geometric fields create an architectural framework, while textured passages, vertical drips, fine lines and spontaneous gestures introduce movement and depth.

Viewed from a distance, the diptych feels structured and balanced. Up close, the layered surfaces reveal irregular edges, traces of previous layers and smaller gestural details. This contrast between controlled geometry and expressive texture is central to my Oceanic Geometry series.

Although entirely abstract, Tidal Framework may suggest coastal structures, reflections on water, distant buildings, changing shorelines or fragments of an imagined contemporary landscape. I prefer to leave these associations open, allowing the viewer to discover their own interpretation.

For me, this painting represents the meeting point between something permanent and something constantly changing — architecture and water, structure and movement.
Displayed together, the two canvases create an impressive composition approximately 160 × 140 cm before spacing. The sophisticated combination of blue, beige, black, white and earthy accents makes Tidal Framework a distinctive statement artwork for spacious living rooms, entrance halls, offices, contemporary residences, boutique hotels and refined commercial interiors.

Its palette works particularly well with Contemporary, Minimalist, Japandi, Coastal Modern and luxury interiors.
